Travelers can find some bargain holiday deals on villas this summer in France, Greece, Spain, Turkey and many other countries. Villas are typically large multi room residences made with traditional architectural styles. Although there are now modern villas, includings ones in France such as the Villa Savoye in Poissy.

There have recently been an overwhelming number of British customers who are renting villas for holidays in July and August, with many of these villa rentals now fully booked. However, you can still find great deals on villas in May, June and September as many people have been pushing their holidays back in hopes of lower fuel prices. For example, there are lovely villas for rent in Roquecor, France at very reasonable prices. These villas sleep up to four and are surrounded by quiet and peaceful countryside in this charming farm village. Villas have their own pools and secluded, rambling gardens which are bordered by ancient stone walls with views across the Seoune valley.

France is known for its luxury hotels, but until recently those privileges had been reserved for humans. One of the best hotels in France for dogs has changed all of that, though, as the Acutel Dogs in the city of Vicennes bills itself as a luxurious destination for the dogs as well as their owners. Rooms are stocked with comfy sleeping cushions, in addition to the typical luxury hotel offerings like pools, massage services and TVs. For about $48, canines can spend the day frolicking around the hotel, or take part in regular doggy walks, jogs and hikes in a nearby park.

This is not the first foray by a hotel chain into luxury pet accommodation, however. The Adogo pet hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota has been offering 5-star canine services since last year, where dogs get customized room service meals, grooming services, and an on-site spa.

Conde Nast Traveler publishes a Gold List which ranks hotels in different countries based on reader votes, and the reader's choice for one of the best hotels in France this year was the Four Seasons Hotel George V, with a 95.1 rating overall. The readers were asked to vote on the following criteria: ambiance/decor, cuisine, location, service, room comfort, and value.

The general manager of the Hotel George V has welcomed the recognition from the prestigious travel magazine. He believes that is a reward for the effort of all the hotel employees who perform their jobs with passion to provide the best customer service possible. After reopening a decade ago, the hotel continues to be regularly voted as one of the best in France in all major international rankings .
